I take it you tried them manually?

Are they returning to the bottom like normal or jamming up on the screen, not to cause undue worry but a members rear wiper played up and he got a call saying his car was on fire

it maybe best to get them checked asap at a dealer or independant Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

They are never going to be as good as 'you' being in control...I've just got a new German car and they are just as bad.....so you need to click the timer to wake them up ! Shocked

You could try resetting everything by disconnecting the battery for ten minutes.

Sadly a Ford Focus uses the same if not very similar system and we have just reset that system by disconnecting the battery as the wipers and automatic lights were playing up and also the Bluetooth and looking on here a few others had similar problems and a battery disconnect solved the problem we only tried it on the Focus because of what has been posted on here and it worked. p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Make sure you do leave it a good ten minutes before reconnecting the battery as a sudden surge can trigger off the airbags - considering there all over the car ur likely to have a proper mess on ur hands !! Shocked 2008 Td4 Freelander2 GS - santorini black.

Just a code for the radio, the alarm should not go off as you would not be doing it with the alarm activated your freely should be unlocked. Confused p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

Sorry (and this is not personal), but this is utter rubbish.

Airbags are not directly wired into 12v, they will ONLY deploy once they recieve a signal (through the processing unit) from the impact/on-board G sensor/s.

You can disconnect and reconnect the battery as often and as quickly as you want and it will not have any effect on the airbags.

So don't feel on edge when performing this simple task.

Niether have I but I didn't want him to disconnect the battery and then find he need a code, just erroring on the side of caution. If he looked for a code and then found he didn't need it, its better than finding out he needs a code and not having one. You get my drift? p****d off with a Digital Keyboard Warrior

What if he spends 3 hours looking for the code only to find he doesn't need one Laughing

Back to the original question - My wipers also stop occaisionally - once or twice a year, doesn't matter what setting they are on, will just stop anywhere on the screen, if you want a fix, just drive onto the forecourt of your nearest dealership, heypresto they work again Confused

Can't be bothered to chase dealer about a fix unless they get worse, car's going back later in the year. 1998 Feelander XDI Hardback - Gone

I had a simple screen error on the dash once. The dealership disconnected the battery and reconnected. No need for the radio key, but the windows were back to how the car was delivered, no auto up function. Which was just a window reset once more like when I first got the car. 2010 Freelander 2 Select TD4 auto....gone
