Just had mine done at Hereford Landrover and it was £295 including £15 for loan car which I wouldn't have again as the excess of £500 if I had a claim is a bit scary!
Good job of the service though in honesty there wasn't anything for them to do other than change the oil and kick the tyres Ralph

I phoned Farnells in leeds, quote was £279.00 + pollen filter if needed at £79.00....

Just phoned Guy Salmon back, now £269.00 inc pollen filter and a loan car....

What do you think to that ?

I will not be going to Farnells any time soon.

Car now booked in at Guy Salmon for 1st service
£269.00 all in and a loan car.

I've phoned around 10 dealers in northern England and the
prices range form £440 at Stratstone to £269 at Guy Salmon....
WHY such big price difference

Farnells!!! Bought?? ex demo Fl2 from them, deal done on phone, paid £1000 deposit, two days later phone call with bad news, "car is manual NOT auto as advertised, does that matter" then the hard sell to offer me a new one which "our sales manager wants to give you top deal because of mistake" them proceded to send quote including £399 for GAP insurance and £299 for Guardshine.

Stealers or what!!!!

Just had mine done by the local (less than 1 mile) independant LR specialist. £165 for the first service including Magnetec Oil, followed LR maintenance schedule, corrosion check, LR parts, etc. Even changed air filter (not on schedule).

Stamped LR service portfolio and also the official LR service schedule, which I supplied.

Dealer wanted £ 275 discounted from £350. No fancy sofa and Cappucino though!

All work done by a 'proper mechanic'.

Just got Guy Salmon in Crawley down to £380 with free loan car. Harwoods in Coulsdon wanted £392. Have booked into Guy Salmon but will cancel if I can get anything lower from main dealer for 1st service. 2009 XS Manual in Martinique Blue with XS Style Pack, Privacy Glass, 19" Alloys, Private Plates, Wood Company centre armrest, stainless steel sill protectors.

£340 at Hillendale Rover, Nelson. First class service from a truly professional dealership. I only had one problem after 10500 miles and that was tailgate not closing correctly, Hillendale found the unit was full of water and organised a replacement. Courtesy car was Freelander.
