Continental Conti Cross Contact AT FR XL 235/65 17". I made a mistake when I bought universal tires (for all the year)! They are very good, but not in snow. They slip to side and the braking is too long!!! The tread is very good for scramble out. I get under the snow often, but i get out. When you drive by the road, mud or sand, they are very goood. Recommended usage on:off is 50:50... thatīs right. PS: Next time I will buy tires for summer and winter ( Conti Cross again, or BF Goodrich AT ) |

yes great pictures Moon 13, you must have a lot of useful knowledge re the capabilities of the FL2 in those situations.

I donīt know ![]() I mean all the terrains. There were lot of places I can not get through because of the clearance height! Boys with Disco and Defs around me were surprised ![]() But I am not going to be like they are. You can see on the pics modified LRs. However Freelander is not ready for hard terrains ( ladder frame, reduction, differential lock ), but you can make lot of things thanks the Terrain Response. I know what I can afford and I donīt want to destroy my car ![]() PS: I hope that my modification will be finished soon (this year). If not, I will buy one more LR for driving all off roads. |

thanks Moon 13, yes I suppose the ground clearance on the FL2 limits where it can go, and also cannot compare to these modified Discos, etc.

we certainly have loads of places to go off road up here in Scotland, but unfortunately I'd hate to scratch it, or get it too dirty !!

Same like me ![]() As I wrote, it is not about off roading only... the comunity of Czech LR Forum is very kind and cool. The meetings are great friendly and realy funny. I look forward to next one. I recommend you, try to do it for the first time and you will see. I hate nice and clean car! You have to be dirt as LR ![]() Last edited by moon13 on 16th Mar 2010 8:29 pm. Edited 5 times in total |
