I also wave/raise my fingers off the wheel to other Fl2's with normally no reply but you never know they might start waving back !!

Being a lifelong cyclist I always acknowledge other cyclist, I don't always get recognition but I feel better for giving the nod, the brother inlaw was a Reliant Robin owner & when he passed another it was like greeting a long lost friend, I will make a point of acknowledging every Freelander 2 I see from now on, can we devise a special wave so you know the other guy/girl is a member of this forum ?.

Being a farmer im use to recieving a solute more commonly known around here as the uncle albert. Not nice.

As suggested, whilst driving the defender I do find most defender drivers flash and put there hands up. Its a kinda look at us mad bastads cramped whilst driving type solute.
