Hey Guys,

New to the site as i just bought a Freelander 2 HST in Martinique Blue last week. Absolutly love the car already as i traded from a mk2 Seat Leon.

Been getting slagged at work already as im 22 with no children and its seen as a big family car.

Hope to learn more about it and get to know you guys better

A "family car" that goes just about anywhere in any condition can't be bad - even if you are only 22. See if your work mates make it throught the snow and floods without problems. Nice car by the sounds of it

They can go just about anywhere but been a HST you'll be limited slightly by the approach and departure angles

Also if it's your 1st 4x4 they are good in snow too, but remember they still only stop like any other car  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Make a mental note of anyone who gives you stick and be sure not to rescue them when they get stranded.

OK I accept that my approach may have been a little heavy handed but I am now firmly of the belief that we car.. sorry trailer owners have to establish ourselves.

I was contributing on the Seat forum with SS3 when somone else was saying about a Freely...shame they don't know what they're missing! I had to play safe and use the FL2 on Sunday when it snowed and couldn't get the Leon off the drive!  Mine: 2012 Golf GTI Edition 35

I have to admit altough i loved my Leon as it was really nice looking as it had the BTCC bodykit im really taking to the Freelander now, i have a lot of long journeys coming up-Centreparks next week and then to Glasgow every month until August so it will soak up the miles alot better, i drove to Wales to pick it up and after the drive down in the Leon i was aching all over but the drive back i felt as refreshed as when i started.

Learned a few novice lessons already for a 4x4:
It cant corner as well as my Leon which had sports suspension etc
You have to brake earlier as there more weight to stop
