Front Parking Sensors

North American LR2s have rear parking sensors only. My reading on this forum indicates that european FL2s have front sensors also. Is it possible to purchase a rear sensor retrofit kit and install them to the front? Any diagnostic computer programming required?

That is a good point. On our Range Rover, the front sensors use a front speaker where as the rear sensors use a rear speaker. Thus, it is easy to differentiate. How does it work on the european Freelander-2 models?

i thing you would be better buying a front parking sensor kit as (I presume) the sensor housings will angled for the front bumper

if you can't buy them in the USofA try the sponsors on here and they'll ship them too you Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Not sure they do a front kit, only ever seen rear kits on ebay, you'd also need a new dash facia/button etc.

Yes, there is a front kit and I know it's more difficult to have fitted, you know front facia button etc.

The rear kit won't do the job, hence why I recently sold one recently. I'd been of the same opinion until I delved into it.

Thanks for the replies. Carnoch, glad to see that someone went through the trouble of finding out for sure. I'll search for a front kit and see what I can find.

No problem. I have seen the odd one on Ebay, but I can't think of the details for the life of me, so don't know if a salvage or a kit. Can't think it was a kit. I do think it can be done, burt a little more aggro. If I have a more lucid moment and remember, i'll post back.
