Lesson 1:Never ever abbreviate the name of a location in France as you will be sent to the wrong town or village which could mean a detour of hundreds of kilometers. In your case 815kms off the radar.

Lesson 2: Just for your information, the wedding party is 63kms from Geneva. It is only 17kms from that internationally famous ski resort of Chamonix which the Brits love. Find your own bloody route there Twisted Evil

athelstan go easy on Iain, he is obviously new to the driving abroad thing and has made a mistake when asking

But as you say, don't abreviate names on the continent as you can end up miles from where you want to be

There are plenty of transfer companys who will be able to pick you up from Geneva Airport and do a return journey to your wedding party, but they wouldn't be cheap, a friend had to leave early when i was in Meribel last week and his one way 2 hour trip was €270 Rolling Eyes Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

CG - neither. Do it with grace and a touch of British reserve. Sledge in, suitably attired in Harris Tweed etc driving a team of eight Huskies.
