Used Values-could they be on the up?

Looking at the way that people have been struggling in the last week or so, and when looking at rescue situations on the TV there has usually been a Land Rover getting to the scene-so I wonder if the values on 4x4s in general and in particular our beasts will benefit.
Given the slating that 4x4's have had in recent times this can only do their image good.

United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Santorini Black

I went to my local dealers thursday, they are sold out of used LR's of all descriptions. The only thing they have left is RR's. Aparently FL2 demand is mad, there phone had been red hot ALL WEEK !
Buying a Landrover was the right move for all of us so pat on the backs all round. Bow down Bow down

I hope they are again. I'm debating whether to trade in for a new(er) one so dealers being short of s/hand stock sounds good news to me.

NOW is the time to try & have a good deal its just like the motorbike & convertable market, you are not going to see many convertable sales nov-feb but when the spring arives prices shoot up.

It is good Richard. Im also told the other dealer which I use north of the bottoms up roundabout heading towards cromer is in the same situation (mustnt advertise).
I expect its an all round thing for all dealers which im glad to hear.

I've noticed a car very similar to mine up in a dealer for over £18k..mine was advertised this time last year at around £15k....and I paid less than that...so yes prices on the way up

Time to trade mine in I think for another of course

Given the post content, is anyone interested in selling an xs or se for "near" £16k (with about 35k miles) if so I'd be interested to hear from you. Put it this way - would you rather p/x to a dealer knowing they'd get an extra £2+k mark-up the day after or a private sale and a slighly higher return?

According to my Dad, LR employee discount (xx%) only works on new ones, not used ones Sad

United Kingdom 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

I was offered £15000 for mine back in Feb 2008, but two weeks ago I was offered £17000 by the same dealer!

I think now that we have had two winters with bad snow, the interest in 4x4 will stay for a good while.

I have been told by my dealer that Freelander 2's are in extreme high demand. I am still debating whether to change mine now or later in the year.

We want another Freelander 2 HSE, but auto this time in Lago Grey or Black with Almond interior. But must has factory privacy glass and and Xenon headlights.

Don't want much do I! Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Zermatt Silver

I bought my 07 XS in August 2008 for £18k with 9,000 miles on the clock, it now has 26k miles on it.

Just looked on LR Approved Used and they have identical spec 07 XS with 24k miles for £18.5k .... so 17 months of ownership with ZERO depreciation...Happy Days! Rolling with laughter

I'm seriously tempted to change at the mo - if any dealers have any 2009 GSs begging or an amazing new car deal

Regarding used values...I'm guessing LR don't think they are "on the up"

Went to look at a finance package yesterday through LR finance.....

A new GS (plus a few extras) on a PCP style deal - after 4 yrs, 15k miles per annum - the guaranteed future value was given as £6000!! Rather surprised me.
