Has anybody had any problems with their boots just randomly undoing ?

I never had this problem until my car went to the dealers but as per usual in with one problem, out with another. So much so it never played up before it went in however it played up on the journey home and has kept that way !

Had this on mine when new, it just needed adjusting on mine, has something got trapped between the rubber and the door as this will cause this to happen also.

The book unlocking on it's own was part of my faulty switch on the boot, once throughing the contents of my boot over the road behind me when I pulled away  Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

Il have a look see if I can see anything caught in the boot but I dont think so.

npinks. Could possibly be a faulty latch, thats my worse nightmare going to morrisons and seeing bake beans rolling about all over the road in my rear view mirror.

Dangerous though if theres cars following.

Its a common fault, water ingress into the boot release switch which shorts and activates the door, you will get it replaced under warranty, cheers iain

I replaced my release switch for exactly the same problem. Switch had also frozen solid. Took 45 mins to replace with frozen fingers at -9! Discovery 3 SE

Is it like a electric latch then ? I rang my dealers today and told them and they are getting me a new latch. One thing with LR warranty - they dont mess you about trying to squirm out of it unlike some other manufacturers

edit: forgot to meantion its pretty common on the disco 3's aparently. There must be a cure
