Well thanks for the advice chaps . I got a little busy in the end yesterday and did not look into the service of that car. It seems pretty unanimous that it should be left alone so I will look at others. Perhaps an SE (58 Reg no less) as James has said and 12K miles is next to nowt, combined with a safe feeling that the car has not been thrashed for 37K miles potentially non stop (it could be argued modern cars can do this this now, but why test it!)

Full leather is not the be and end all either, the thinking mans trim is seat surgeons now anyway.
