Trailer Hitch/Tow Bar

So far I haven't seen any NAS Freelander 2s with a trailer hitch. I saw countless tow bars in the UK and Europe but they are built different than those in the USA. Unless I can get one imported from across the pond and make it work here in Texas.

Does anyone know where I can find one or how much they cost?

I am getting one for my Freelander 1 next week for around $200 installed.

Thanks! I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.
Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun.

Mine has a hitch, dealer installed. Some cutting was involved. I believe it is only a Clas II hitch as it is 1 1/4" square not the III or IV 2" Armchair Commando

Mind if I ask how much it was? I'd rather have one with the 2" reciever and without cutting. I carry a gun because I can't carry a cop.

Sounds like you're talking about a 2008 LR2/Freelander 2. I actually recently installed a hitch on mine. Cost was $111 from amazon.

I posted a photo here and more details on my blog: http://sam.odio.com/2011/10/25/2008-lr2-cu...tallation/ Installed a hitch, stock roof rack, mantec skid plates, General Grabbers AT2 255/60/R18, and a rear access ladder. Also made a hitch-mount for the winch. Looking to install a front hitch, rooft-top basket, and lift kit.

Tracking modifications and off-road experiences here: http://sam.odio.com/lr2/
