When my kids are old enough, I would like to think they would get used every now and then. In the mean time I've just tried them once when I got the vehicle, to make sure they worked! I can certainly imagine most forgeting they were there. Incidentally (i've never bothered to look) do the controls light up at night like your window buttons for example?

Although today I do have these fancy electronic Rear Seat Entertainment Controls that are never used. In the old days rear seat entertainment was more frequenty used but definatly not electronic, but rather more assosiated with elastic, nylon and metal clips Thumbs Up 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

I do not have the LR ones but do have portable ones.
When we go on vacation they are used quite a lot by the kids but through the rest of the year I don't even install them anymore.

I do have an entertainment system in front which is used all the time, especially the USB plug in.
My son and I both use our usb sticks to play music from. Recently I've been playing music videos instead of plain mp3's, which is much more entertaining when waiting on a red light.

Secondly, when waiting on my son at football practice, I look at a movie. It takes me approx. 3 months to see one to the end, but at least I'm not so bored anymore.

Now as a final note, my son is turning 19 end of januari, so you would probably understand he's not so often a passenger as he used to be. Meaning the chances he'll be going along on vacation are slimming too, rendering the LR entertainment system completely unused it I had chosen to get it installed.

In fact I bought the portable system especially to find out if it was worth installing. I still feel good about the descision not to.
