suspension choices

Nearly may up my mind to buy a Freelander 2 - picked the colour and spec but am now confused over suspension choices. Air or coils? - can anyone confirm which is better - I plan to do some towing - horsebox but mainly use the car for commuting. Any thoughts gratefully received.

Hi and welcome.

They only come in coil.

D3's have a choice not FL2's Thumbs Up

Interesting - had a discussion with a dealer over suspension choice - sure they were refering to self leveling and ride heights. Must check with them. Is there not settings within the terrain response?? DISCO2

Nope

no self leveling or ride heights adjustments

I would swap salesman to one that knows his product Wink Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis

As NPINKS

No you need to question the competence of you Dealer. Having had D3s for the last 4 years the only differences is slightly more road noise in the FL2s and you need to slow down on speed humps. The FL2 is better at cornering and MPG everything else is with the D3. But you will pay on average £10k more

How about you order one with air suspension and then see what they come up with.

Bloody ell, me innocent jlr employee? If guilty do i get 20years here? Murderers don't get that. Won't say anything about fl3 air suspension from disco or digi dash from xj and new engines. Oops again. Back to my jlr cell.
