Had mine delivered too. I must say that after installing them myself, I must admit that 50 quid is not much to charge! However the instructions are excellent and the screws etc were all ok, at least in my pack. You do however have to cut a wider hole on the roof plastic rails (the ones already on the vehicle) and do some sealing after you unscrew the front roof rails screw and screw another in its place which holds the front part. There is wind noise sometimes, but the whole assembly is very robust. I'll try to put on some photos, as soon as I can. I think the whole assembly just adds to the looks of our LR2 and build quality is great. |

That's how they work on the D3, the cross bars fir straight to the roof tracks. Personally, I prefer roof rails from an aesthetics and practical point of view (it gives you the flexibility as to where you place the bars). OK, it's an extra cost, but I also had to pay for my old D3 S to have the roof tracks fitted. OK, so Mr Honda may be able to go off on his holidays with his bikes and roofbox, but he can't go half the places you can ![]() |

Yes your'e right there, anyway the FL is much better to look at (in my opinion) than the Honda, just wish Landrover had pulled its finger out and offered a complete package from day 1, after all they were at the Motor Show this time last year. Still, off down to Cornwall next week, may try to find an empty beach one evening, I can think of a couple of places, as I havent tried out the "sand" setting yet. |

Tried to order my roof rails here in Germany, I was told they are not available yet, rang Landrover customer services, the guy at the call centre confirmed that they were not available. I asked to speak to Landrover parts, and the chap there confirmed that the rails are available, and that there is a message on the dealers bulletin board.
