Sat Nav Disc upgrade problem

As my car is a December 2006, the Sat Nav discs are now old stock. I bought the 2008/2009 dics of Nick (Npinks), the discs are fine (Thanks Nick Thumbs Up )

But when I inserted the new disc, it asked for different software, and being as it is Navtec like my Vauxhall Signum, I pressed the continue button. Now the Sat Nav touch screen has greyed out and I have no Sat Nav!

Has anyone else discovered this at all? I spoke with my dealer Marshall Land Rover and they said it could be cured by disconnecting the battery for 10 seconds as this is a complete system re-boot. BUt this did'nt help.

Looks like a trip to the dealers for a software update is on the cards unless anyone else can help? Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Hi Nick, All sorted. I disconnected the battery and nothing happened. So inserted the new disc anyway to see what would happen. We hooked up the caravan went off to Portsmouth, two hours into the journey the Sat Nav came back to life and has been fine since.

So a happy bunny! Thumbs Up Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

Don't care to share the solution. OK lets see what I have been up to.

Posted on here about the problems last Thursday.
Went on holiday on Saturday with the caravan so no internet, this is when the Navi came back on line.
Arrived home last night so we could go to our best friends mums funeral.
When arriving home at 11.30pm, miss judged when reversing on the drive hit the tree with the caravan and damaged the corner of the van.

Just got back from the funeral and got on line for the first time.

So excuse my sarcasm but posting the solution to my Sat Nav issue was not priority. Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........
