Uneven tyre wear

One of my rear tyres seems to be wearing uneven, to the point that it feels 'jagged' when you run your hand around one way...i'm sort of hoping this tyre is the cause for the noise i've been experiencing recently? The last time I had a tyre wear like this was on a Vauxhall Monteray, the cause being a faulty shock absorber, I can't imagine that being the case this time but what might cause this? The previous owner used the car for towing a bit and it's had an obvious puncture repair as there's a grommit stuck out about 2" in from the outside edge.

Is it likely to need wheel alignment or could it be this tyre is dodgy as it's been repaired? Anyone had a problem with rear tyre wear using Wranglers at all, especially if it's been used to drag a trailer around Question

Other than this i've driven approx 5000 miles now and it's been lovely Thumbs Up

Any thoughts appreciated guys...

Yep, me had problem with uneven wear with Wranglers. Both front and back tyres on the drivers side were wearing unevenly, had only done 22,000 on them, passenger side was wearing ok and had at least 5000 miles left on them.

Wheel alignment was out. Cost £60 at local tyre garage to put right plus 4 new tyres for £500

take it to your local tyre garage that you trust and get it checked ASAP. ______________________
