I'd go with the adaptive xenon's but avoid the rails if you have a sunroof. Tesco trolley strips maybe don't look good on posers cars, but they are extremely practical and save door dings.  2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.

Going for the 19" 10 Spoke upgrade, privacy glass. I've seen one with sidesteps, looked okay but not sure if I should go for those. I'm also considering the bodyside mouldings (tesco car park, enough said).

If I remember correctly, you only have the following options on HSE :-

Zenon Headlights £600
Adaptive Zenon Headlights £995
19" Wheels £500
Privacy Glass £350?
Auto Box £1400
Side Mouldings £100

I have everything above apart from the Auto box (Not available at the time), my zenons are the adaptive type and I honestly would have the same again. Things like roof rails and side steps are dealer options, I have the side steps as my daughter is only 7 and can't get in very well without, she was only 5 when we got the car.

Headlights are brilliant, the HSE looks bare without the privacy glass, 19" wheels look brill and the side mouldings offer great protection in car parks.

I would for sure go for the Auto box next time. Either way, you will have a fab car!  Freelander 2 HSE Lux 2013MY - Barolo Black with Ivory Leather. Alpine DVD - Privacy -Evoque 20" Dynamic Wheels and more to come.........

What I got for my HSE TD4 e

Door strips good. Give you some reassurance in car parks, and I think they look fine.
Colour matching wing mirror tops
Xenon lights
The top sound system option (excellent, with woofer in the boot floor)
Sun roof
Don't bother with privacy glass (in my view, good only for Russian mafia types)
I chose not to have roof bars due to some reports of noise at speeds above 80 km/h.
If you want a bike rack, I recommend to go for a Thule rack, which works with a removable tow hook. The LR one requires a permanent hook, and I think can only take 2 bikes. I have a Thule GS 909 which takes 3 bikes, plus a 4th with the 9081 adaptor.
Winter option (defrosting windscreen), and heatable front seats are fun.
Boot cage. Removable, but I think vital for safety for holiday trips. ie to stop luggage crashing forward on your family in event of a sharp stop.
Smoker option. Though a non-smoker, the lidded ashtray helps make up (just a little bit) for the unforgiveable absence of a storage box between front seats. I use it for coins for parking meters, etc.

Yeah do privacy glass! It makes the car look bigger.
Tubes as well. Don't do side steps, they are inpractiacal and don't look good.

Roof bars finish the car off, i knotice no extra wind noise from my last car which didn't have roof bars

When i first got the car it had its cross bars on also, and i didn't think these caused anymore noise either... I only took them off to see if it made any difference to my 350miles tank fulls Former Mod/Member, with the most post & Chicken George Arch nemesis
