2007 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Stornoway Grey
Finally bought one, how happy am I?

Hi

I've finally gone and done it, I've finally bought my Freelander 2, an XS in stornoway grey, hoping they can get it for 2 weeks time.

Bought it from Stratstone in Milton Keynes, as they could do me a better deal than Marshalls in Peterborough, and we pass there on the way to the snowdome quite often, so not too much of a problem if I need to go back, just another excuse to go snowboarding.

Can't wait, I reckon this could be the longest 2 week wait.

We just need to come up with a good nickname, like disco and rangie and landie, freebie doesn't seem quite as good

Rich

Welcome to the Club!!!

You'll have to wait for the roof rails to carry your snowboard though if you have a sunroof.

(As long as they come before January/February I'll be happy, as I'll have to find somewhere else in the car to carry two snowboards.)

Looking forwarded to getting mine up into the french alps. My friends FL1 was great in those snow conditions.

Nice colour, (same as mine) nearly went for the XS myself, but got a excellant deal on the low mileage SE demo they had in.

I’ve always referred to Freelanders by the nickname “Freddy” as in “Freddy Freelander” & have named our one accordingly Cool “You feel uneasy, as the mad scientist locks the door behind you & dissolves the key in a vat of Acid”

ask you insurance company to fax a cover note, this should be ok for them to tax the car as most garages can self issue tax discs.

Picked her up yesterday, how big has my grin been since then.

Offered to drive anywhere and everywhere, and loved it.

Even took it off road, well, I had to drive onto a grass verge to let a tractor past, not quite off road, but it certainly wasn't fazed.

Now all I need to do is find an email enabled phone that will work with the car kit, as my BB doesn't, and I really don't want a third party bluetooth kit installed.

Will post pics shortly
