Unlocking Mode Alternatives On Individual Remotes/Fobs

Just wondered if anybody could help out with this matter:
I have searched the forum and "googled" but cannot find the answer.I saw the thread regarding setting the fob to multi-point entry but this is slightly different.

In March I disabled the single-point entry on my remotes x 2 . However several times when it has been to the dealers they have commented that did I realise it was in multi-point mode etc - no real problem but I decided I would set the spare fob back to enable single point entry. However depsite the manual stating this feature could be enabled or disabled on individual remote controls (page 42) every time I change the setting on one remote the other also changes.

So it appears thet the setting is stored in the vehicle rather than individual fobs and if altered on 1 fob will also change on the other. Has anyone else found this to be the case or found a way where 1 remote can be set to single point entry and the other to multi-point entry???

Thanks Question Idea kooledude

Surely, if you want to use the single press to unlock all doors, you can.

Can't see why the dealer commented.

Unsure about setting it on different remotes, I only use the one remote so I can't comment.

I think the reason the dealer commented was just to make me aware of security etc... as this single point entry is more secure (which obviously I already knew but it's a pain) - I just thought I would change the spare back to enable single point entry but as mentioned both remotes change back.
