I would be careful not using OEM parts even if those parts (ie the pads) themselves aren't covered

I agree with NP, don't do anything that would give them any opportunity to wriggle out of a claim |

Was checking the front brakes on my daughters Fiesta this morning, and while I was in the mood thought I would have the wheels off the Freelander and have a look.

Had all wheels off today when fitting spare set and looked at pads, fronts not yet 1/2 worn, rears more than 1/2. Pleased to see discs in perfect condition as many vehicles fitted with rear discs have problems with excess wear and corrosion. This is caused by brake compensator greatly reducing effort to rear wheels unless car is laden thus discs corrode and in turn increase pad wear. FL2 does not have this problem as it is heavy enough over rear axle. My previuos Honda CRV 2007 had new discs at 9,000mls and were again showing signs of corrosion at 17,000 when I got rid of |

I have replaced both front and back myself. Very straightforward to do, assuming you have some experience changing pads. Greg East
