Cyprus 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Zermatt Silver
Gear box problem?

Hi,

I had this post sent 2 months ago under a different heading. I just want to add that the noise stops when
I press the clutch to change gear. Moreover as I accelerate the noise increases and when I release the gas pedal
for a gear change the noise diminishes... It's like a parallel sound according to the revs of the engine.

I am getting the FL2 to the dealer in Nicosia this week.

Cyprus 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 GS Manual Stornoway Grey

Hi Paniscy,

I am suspecting either the gearbox input shaft bearing or the thrust bearings but since the noice stops when you press the clutch and also while accelerating the noice increases i think that it should be something with the thrust bearings.
Please let us know the dealer's feedback Freelander 2 GS TD4, Stornoway Grey, Manual, called BEAST!!!
