Turbo to Exhaust Pipe Clamp Position

I need to change the Gasket and Clamp that joins the Turbo and Exhaust pipe. I can do this with the car on a ramp working underneath. It would be easier for me if the Clamp bolt is put on and tightened at an angle pointing down say about 45deg. The position of the bolt in all the diagrams and photos I have seen show it in a straight horizontal position.

Is there any good reason for this or can I put it on at 45 deg
