To add to it disabling your alarm would make your insurance invalid I'm sure. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

If the workshop has dealer like diagnostic system, it can read the last 10 alarm activation reasons. So it's very easy to isolate the cause.

With the clock running down . . .30 . .29 . . 28, sweat dripping from his brow . . . . . which wire does he cut, the blue or the red? |

The bonnet/hood latch is a common cause of false alarm activations, so I'd investigate that before doing anything drastic. A search will reveal previous threads on the topic with details of how to access the latch, disable its alarm trigger, etc. |

Been having this issue since I bought my LR2. Disabled the hood latch, but now it seems like one of my doors triggers it when I read out the fault code. No display message showing up in the dash.

JLR SDD is the only tool to disable the alarm system. You could just fix the door lock assembly issue. |

When you say disabled what do you mean? If you’ve just unplugged it it may not help you.. I had exactly the same issue , I have completed a temporary fix by unplugging the bonnet switch plug and cutting the end of a paper clip and inserting it in the plug to complete the circuit.. perfect and no further alarm issues .. |
