Dear All

Most every day I have false alarms coming up from the anti theft device and regularly waking up all neighborhood at night.
Probably caused by the typical door lock issues which seem to be common with this type of Landies.
As no workshop was able to isolate the fault successfully, I used to remove fuse F21 in the small fuse box below the glove compartment to isolate the alarm system. But this switches off the receiver for key fob as well, so it's not possible to use the remote control to lock or unlock the doors.

Is it possible to isolate the anti theft device in a different way to prevent the annoying alarms without blocking the key remote control?

If someone wants to manipulate any part of the electrical system, he/she needs access to the motor compartment etc first, which in case of a fully working anti theft device would trigger an alarm. So normal cars are safe and sound even if someone would know how to carry out that modification.
Those who intend to use such knowledge for criminal actions have for sure better and more conspiratorial sources than an open Landy Forum

Keeping this in mind I would consider a forum as this a place where LR2 owners with car issues might find some advice.

So hopefully there's anyone more understanding round there in the Freel2 community to offer some hint or help.

disabling security systems or giving methods to bypass them is a taboo subject on most forums, that is why we use private messages or emails when we feel that the enquiring member has a genuine problem. You would not think of giving your credit card details on an open facebook page for all to see (or at least I hope not) which is the equivalent of passing what we could call tricks of the trade openly.
I don't know how to do what you request but if you remove the battery then the alarm can't go off and nobody could start your car to steal it, but that is common knowledge so no trade secret. If it ain't ***ked don't fix it

To add to it disabling your alarm would make your insurance invalid I'm sure. MY13 HSE LUX Aintree Green

If the workshop has dealer like diagnostic system, it can read the last 10 alarm activation reasons. So it's very easy to isolate the cause.

If none of the workshops have such diagnostic equipment, then a trip to the main dealer, at least for a fault code read session, may be in order.

Otherwise, you can't disable the back-up sounder/horn for that.
If you have the back-up sounder and you disable it, the horn will sound.

Or you disable the sounder (if you have it) and modify the horn circuitry to pass through a relay that will be powered only when the ignition is on and then, when the ignition is off, the horn will be disconnected and no alarm, but the remote functionality will be preserved.

The bonnet/hood latch is a common cause of false alarm activations, so I'd investigate that before doing anything drastic. A search will reveal previous threads on the topic with details of how to access the latch, disable its alarm trigger, etc.

Been having this issue since I bought my LR2. Disabled the hood latch, but now it seems like one of my doors triggers it when I read out the fault code. No display message showing up in the dash.

Anyone got any ideas what tools I can buy that will allow me to disable the alarm? Been looking at the Gap IID, but it doesnt seem to support this.

JLR SDD is the only tool to disable the alarm system. You could just fix the door lock assembly issue.  Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
