I just put in a front ds Timken and it was silky smooth and genuine. OEM was Moog but they have gone down hill, IMO. SKF is also a really good make. I'd have no issue getting another Timken but they are counterfeits out there. |

Just my two penith SKF formerly Skefco many years ago for ball bearings and Timken for roller bearings. |

I sourced one off E-bay earlier this year for front offside, lasted 3 months then the dreaded whirr whirr returned. Got two bearings from LR Spares Speke, Liverpool, Britpart labelled and did both fronts, with new hub bolts. Needed my 10 tonne press to remove the old bearings and refit the new ones. 3 months on and both good. |

Britpart and Borg and beck do not make bearings they are simply sourced from a bearing manufacturer unless you checked the bearing face for the manufacturer you could have put a SKF bearing back in but the reality is if it works it works. |

The bearing manufacturers you can trust are SKF Timken and GKN all the information you need is on the original bearing, the outside diameter is on the outer ring and the inner ring gives the inside diameter.

Does it change in sound volume if you steer slightly left or right while on the accelerator? |

No.The volume stays constant and doesn’t change when steering when on accelerator. Barely noticeable actually and sounds like the noise made by worn tires (but my tires are Ok)
