My old foreman in the garage used to say the length of the standard spanner gives you a rough idea ,ie big long spanner..more torque than a short spanner! |

I wouldn't bother with torque settings for low importance items like that. Absolutely essential for big end cap bolts, main bearing cap bolts, and flywheel bolts, but for brackets and stuff, the length of the spanner gives a good clue as to how tight they need to be. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
