I was thinking about a remap after intercooler upgrade, as the engine and drive train generally could handle a lot more torque, whilst increasing fuel economy. But the ATF21's torque converter is only rated to 450Nm peak (momentary) and 400Nm sustained, and is apparently quite a weak link. So in stock config the 2.2 SD4 has no headroom.

Does anyone know of an outfit upgrading stock torque converters or selling upgraded ones for this (extremely common Aisin) box? Can be EU or UK. All the ones I've found are US.
