Help, where this hose go !

Hi,

I have found this small hose on the engine protection plate. My car is a Freelander 2 SE TD4 2.2 buy in 2009.
I haven't see from where it come.
Do you know what hose is it ? And where it go ?

Thanks for your help.

I don't recognise that hose, and I had my 2.2 SE head off 3 times (long story),while I owned it. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Gone.
2006 Tonga Green i6 HSE. Gone.
Audi A5 convertible, the daily driver.
1972 Hillman Avenger GT, the project.

It seems that it isn't the brake booster pipe. After check the hose is present.

I have showed my Freelander 2 to a mechanical this afternoon.
After 20 minutes of research he said that this hose may possibly not come from my car. Even if I found it on the protection plate under the motor.

He will have another look soon. I must soon revise the vehicle.

Looks fairly small diameter...

Battery vent pipe?

Washer jet pipe?

It looks like part of the breather hose arrangement. Take a look at the hoses here:-

My money is on it being one end of part 9S284 - cut off during some previous mechanical surgery - the "open" end looks like a clean cut-off.

Could also be something to do with the diesel fired heater - but I've never come across one of those - I think they're for cold climates only.

I will check this tomorrow.
You are right, maybe it’s a part of a bigger hose.
