France 2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE Auto Lago Grey

What a splendid tool!

Many years ago when I had a lathe I made a rod which screwed into the threaded hole on the hub of whatever car i had at the time. It was a real timesaver. When I had the P38 I thought about it again, but ruled it out as I thought nothing that could screw over the male wheel studs would go through the hole in the wheel.

Right, where's that Christmas list?.... Laughing Life is an uphill struggle. Only the gradient varies.

I remain determined to get this f***ing rattle traced and fixed.
It's spoiling my use of the car, as I spend all my time listening to it and for it over ever little bump!

I'm coming back over to England for Christmas. So can anyone recommend a thoroughly good Land Rover garage around the Preston area, or even a bit further afield please?

So far everyone else (3 non-LR mechanics) has failed miserably (including me - I'm sick of jacking it up or putting in ramps now), so I need a "Land Rover whisperer", to ask it what's wrong!

All suggestions welcomed. I had one recommendation, but when I checked on Honest John, the reviews were almost all negative.

Thanks Life is an uphill struggle. Only the gradient varies.

I presume you may be looking for a LR Specialist in the Preston, Lancs area …….Piston à typo….?

Hope you find the source of the annoying rattle before Christmas, as in my experience there are many more pot-holes on English roads than French………& they’re bigger…..!

Approx 1hr away from Preston, so might be a bit far, but Henshall Engineering in Cheshire have always been top-tier for me - they did my PTU (used the uprated bell engineering parts) and gearbox flush, no issues
