Sooooooooo, my 2008 LR2 3.2L i6 rad is weeping, driver side, from the seam or there abouts. I am trying to find the OEM rad manufacturer as I have to replace this 18 year old semi-plastic rad that has served me well! BTW, plastic and rad, who does this?

Open to an aluminium after market version if available in North America? Also open to a Volvo replacement if it is 'plug and play' and better priced than the Land Rover rad....

Most likely go the OEM route if I can find the info....will update and if anyone has some info, please post!?

I haven’t replaced the radiator on my LR2

But I did replace it on my S80, that one has the coating to convert Ozone into O2 and that made it significantly more expensive

I think the 2008 S80 3.2 radiator is the same as the LR2 but I don’t know who made it originally

so Rockauto lists the Mahle Original CR1748-000S. And, I also found NISSENS-65615A available for pickup at Partsavatar.ca along with the Mahle. I'll do some more research as tomorrow is a holiday here as well.

It's a crap shoot,all are using plastic side tanks hence the weak point where they leak ultimately. i'm going to place the order today for the Nissens....let you all know how this turns out down the line.

Sounds good. I'd certainly like to know, as I am taking the engine compartment apart these days and amongst other jobs, replacing every single hose I can imagine in the car.

So maybe I should change my radiator as well, while I am at it. My car is also now 18 years old and have done 251.000 trouble free kilometers so far.

I'd like to know why you shose the Nissens? I bought their heat exchanger for my Corrado G60 and it had a very bad fit. I had to use a Stanley knife extensively to make it fit like the original (nla).
If Mahle is original on our cars, I'd certainly go for that.

Here in my country the Mahle is discounted these days with 50% off. Good price. It now cost the same as a crap one.

Will update this on the weekend...doing the job today. And, it looks like I may also need a power steering pump in the near future as well .

The re & re of the Nissens replacement rad was a breeze. The most difficult thing was removing the lowest bumper corner retaining screw, had to use lots of jigalube but it did come off. Easy job with two people. A perfect fit for the Nissens which is also aftermarket for Volvo.

Also, happy to report that the high pressure line is the culprit for my power steering "seep".....LR029184, I think. Off to source a good deal on this line.
