In May 2023 I replaced the boot struts with cheap ones & they are still working.

Just the other day replaced the bonnet struts with cheap ones from the same place in Australia. So will have to see how they go. I did notice they are smaller diameter than the Land Rover originals. The length was correct.

The bonnet is now staying up again, with the extra weight of insulation.

Easy to replace, just push a small flat screwdriver under the spring to pull it out a bit. Then the end of the strut will pop off much easier. & obviously prop up the bonnet.
