Colour Codes for Freelanders

I am looking at applying UPOL RAPTOR rubberised paint https://u-pol.com/au/brands/raptor/ to the roof to make it more durable as we will be carrying a lot of stuff on it.

https://qconv.com/en/colors/standox_autola...dier_green lists paint codes including LR 904 HFY Tonga Green.

LAND ROVER HFY, 904 tonga green

CMYK 6 / 0 / 9 / 74

HEX #3E423C

RGB 62 66 60 1

HSL 100, 0.05%, 0.25%

LAB 27.43, -3.01, 3.08

standox Autolacke

This may be a useful site for anyone talking to a paint company (or car wrap) that does not know what 904 Tonga Green is.

I wouldn't put any weight directly on the roof. There is only one very modestly size stiffening section. The roof itself is very thin, & gives just leaning on it waxing the roof etc.

Get some cross bars that bolt to the car without rails if you want something cheaper. You can always attach a bit of plywood to those if you need a temporary platform.

Putting stuff directly on the roof will be very expensive long term. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!

Roof weight

I agree, no weight. It has cross bars and I plan to have my welder make a proper expedition roof rack like the one on my G-Wagon. But anything going on a roof invariably results in scratches - not intentionally, but it happens.

I had a roof platform, but got rid of it, actually it's still in the garage. I use 4 cross bars, so there was a net weight saving of 16kg. You really need to keep the roof rack weight to a minimum, so you can actually carry something.

We have never scratched the roof, but the front of the car has a lot of stone chips. Procrastination, mankind's greatest labour saving device!
