I have driven in mountainous roads in Switzerland & Italy, & some "interesting" roads in France. One wouldn't want to come off the roads with those "little" drops!

I think the tyre squealing is due to low pressure and poor wear pattern. No evidence of scrabbling at the back, just a feeling of unbalanced wheels at the rear as you feel it through the seat. First call is to replace rear tyres and have a good look over all the suspension. Due to age and mileage I would guess it's,mostly past it's usefulness, so I'm planning to refresh it, a section at a time. Typical I have a pair of brand new rear struts here which won't fit as I'm now on electric handbrake . |
