Fuel Pump Not Priming?

Hi all,

I've been having starting issues with my 2010 3.2L LR2 since I bought it. I love this vehicle and have had zero performance issues. BUT, the engine needs to crank for wayyy too long before it starts, or simply stops cranking (it will then start on the second go). This happens almost all the time when the engine is cold and the car hasn't been driven in a few hours, but also happens when the engine is hot and I stop the vehicle to gas up, for example.

Reading through post on this forum and others (including my own numerous posts - sorry about that), it occurs to me that the after I insert the key fob, I do not hear the fuel pump priming. Likewise, no noise if I press the "start' button (no foot on brake).

According to p-gill; "With the remote handset inserted in the start control module and the stop/start button is pressed, the start control module issues battery voltage high signal on the LIN bus connection to the CJB and the fuel pump is run for 2 seconds to prime the fuel system."

Has anyone else experienced this? How would I go about testing this?

Thanks in advance.
