Intercooler hose - refitting.

So I finally won the battle and removed the bottom left intercooler hose last night, has anyone got any tips on getting the new one back in and fitted ? Would rather find a trusted way rather than trail and error !

FWIW I recently replaced the RH IC hose.

Jacked up the car, removed the undertray and worked from above and below.

The end that fits onto the IC connector is hidden from view and I used a smear of oil inside the hose end to make it easier to wiggle/push the hose as far as I could. Then felt for where the IC connector was inside the hose by squeezing it.
Used a micro ractchet to tighten the jubilee clip once it was positioned so I could access it.

Never done the LH hose. Jules

Thanks - did you put the new hose in from the bottom or from the top ?

Inserted the hose up from the bottom.
Did final tightening of IC jubilee clip from above.

Had a buddy to pass things and hold a torch.

Small mirror taped to a stick is useful to check position of things. I also took blind pics/video with a my phone to check position. Jules

I just take the bumper off. It takes 20 minutes if all the fixings come out easily.
I've found the boost hoses need to be fitted correctly, so there's no chance of the lower hose catching on the alternator pulley under engine torque, so hose alignment is important. Having the bumper off allows for the hoses to be adjusted accurately. Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
