ive got a slight knocking/rattle from the rear after having rear struts replaced ,ive seen the post about the wrong nuts supplied with the new units, these not having a recess so they dont tighten fully ,but ive looked at my strut threads and they seem to go all the way down,as they are not a genuine landrover part,so im i right in thinking nuts supplied are ok and i should look else ware for the knocking?I did a post on the maintenance section where there is a picture of the nuts. |

Interesting thread that jogged my memory. When I replaced my original shocks with Billies, I noticed the same nut difference and salvaged and reused the original flared nuts. I'm glad I did. |

so, if as mentioned the new nuts don't tighten down properly is there any reason why a washer cant be added to rectify this? |
