Awesome - well done that car and owner Thumbs Up

Soon be 300K - will need a party to celebrate

At our current rate of miles our FL2 will be 50 years old if it makes 300K. But unfortunately I wont be around to witness it Big Cry Jules

Hi all, it’s a while since I’ve been on but thought I’d mention that our 2007 SE has just clocked 295k today. Not entirely sure how it’s still going but it is Very Happy Mechanically still pretty sound, just keep servicing it!

Mine is up to 189K miles bought in 2018 on 97k … I had the Big service with chain etc done at 143K rather than 150k it’s had track rod end and bushes etc since those were beyond my ability/ strength and I’ve just replaced all the turbo hoses with silicone ones myself which took a few days and some swearing.. mainly getting the front of the car off, rusted screws had to drilled out and had to give in with trying to deal with MAF sensor issues P0110, P0102 codes and go to an Indie turned out to be a duff sensor .. which I had bought myself off eBay and so I thought it must be a wiring problem (beyond me) as a new sensor being kaput is rare I was told funnily enough the Indie garage had to try two brand new LR sensors to get one that worked, they said that’s the first time in a long time that a “brand new part was duff” so I didn’t feel too bad … it still has the P0480 Fan control circuit code but although they offered to explore that I’d run out of budget for now .. and it doesn’t give a reduced engine performance so I’ll live for now with that

I do the usual service stuff myself oil, filters, brakes but bigger things are often beyond my physical ability

Well we’re nearly there, don’t drive it much now so didn’t realise how close it was to 300k. We’ve had it nearly 8 years and has been without doubt one of the most reliable and trouble free cars we’ve had. Showing its age now a bit mind, needs a cambelt soon but otherwise drives spot on!

Congratulations (well nearly)

Its a pity that I live so far away and therefore won't be able to attend your FL2 '300K' party.

Well Done -- the FL2 does seem to be the best 4x4xFord that JLR produced for reliability. FL2 XS SD4 Auto 2010 2012-2017 (21k - 91k miles) (MY2011)
FL2 Metropolis SD4 Auto 2014 2017- (16k - 82k+ miles) (MY2015)
Metro in its 11th Year of (Extended) LR Warranty / Full LR Service History
(Expensive, but Trouble/Worry free - hopefully?)
