MAP sensor broken receipt housing/connector

Dear All

I have error related with MAP sensor and tried to clean it

I took intake manifold, clean MAP sensor with electrical cleaner, however during the process, the receipt housing/connector is broken (the female part). It's 3 pin connector

Anyone has idea the part number I could order it from ebay/amazon?

Thanks

P2227 - barometric pressure sensor intake manifold

I need to disclose something; I broke the latch for the connector on my MAP sensor about a year ago and I did what I would call a field expedient repair. I RTV the connector body to the MAP sensor. And this worked for about a year.

I did research for a new connector and I found Volvo Part # 30658215

Good luck

If you power the fan directly it will run at the highest speed

Check the following

1. Are you getting 12 volts at the big red wire that connects to the controller

2. Is the black wire connected well to get

3. With the engine at idle and the AC on the coldest setting does the radiator fan come on?

If any of these are NO then you need to find out why

If everything is GOOD then you need to check the small blue wire. It controls the fan speed and if it is broken then you get ZERO speed

Let us know

Take care

Paul

When engine is running at the beginning, the fan is running

The voltage of the red cable that connect to fan controller is 13.56 volt, maybe because its actually connect to battery that secured by 80Amp MIDI fuse where the battery is charged by altenator

Now I check the voltage of the purple cable

its 11.xx volt but keep changed

at some point fan is stop working and voltage of purple color remain 11.xx volt and P0480-00 is registered in ECU

somehow the ac is not cooling either

The small wire is a PWM signal so it won't show the full battery voltage.

The voltage that you measured looks good for the blue wire.

The red wire should be very close to the battery voltage, so this looks good.

Verify that you have a good ground by checking the voltage between the black wire and the negative terminal of the battery with the fan running. The voltage drop should be about 0.050 Volts or less. A high number means that the ground connection is bad.

The AC compressor has a pressure switch that can cause problems with the FAN, I haven't had this problem but I did replace my AC compressor at 14 years or so.

Good luck

Paul

I replied to your other post about the AC and I indicated that you added too much gas to the system.

Did you get the gas removed? And the correct amount installed?
