Apparently they have spent £6 million improving the water supply in my area, All I know is my tap water water tastes like water for the first time ever and I can now wash my car without all those annoying hard water marks drying on the car .

Can you not collect rain water and give them that? 

I was going to say the same about the rain water but I bet in this day and age with all the health and safty rules you'll have to boil it, filter it and test it for some sort of bacteria each day because it won't be as safe as free range chickens drinking out of a muddy puddle
