Timing belt - Specific tools for specific job

Hi Wise ones,
New owner (two weeks) knows just enough to know that some jobs need doing on a 2010 with 97k auto
First off, timing belt & water pump job.
Am reading around, watching vids before I attempt this.
But noticed that the Fred’s often refer to this tool or that tool to lock this or that against torque
Stuck me that a Fred with a list of tools and links to suppliers of said tools for such a common job would be great for all…especially those of us foolishly contemplating doing such a job as time rich, cash poor novice….so, looking for links to the tools needs to lock various moving bits for changing belt!

Thanks in advance…… I have a cunning plan.....!

Thats a good price, Bob.

@BillBolderos

1) The long thin right angled rod goes through a small hole in front of the bell housing near the starter motor (you need to remove the starter motor anyway) and into the flywheel and sets the crank timing.

2) Use the knurled pin to lock a camshaft pulley - you may need to give the crankshaft an extra turn as the camshaft rotates at half crankshaft speed.

3) The plate and 2 black parts lock the starter ring teeth so you can use the torque needed for the crank pulley bolt. The rod on its own its not strong enough and may bend or snap. Jules

You should download and have a look at the free JLR workshop manual -if you havent already.
