Throttle body

This may be a daft question, but here it is anyway:

Can you hear the throttle body working if its okay?

reason i ask is i used to be able to (i think) hear it after turning off the engine but not anymore and i'm trying to work out whether it's suffered the stripped teeth and is now stuck in a position which is causing the painfully slow take off from a standing start 90+% of the time.

it happens whether i'm in full auto or command shift, no codes logged or dash messages. wondering if i should just replace the throttle body with new and recalibrate the airway afterwards. Range Rover L322 (the current posh one)

Discovery 1 (long gone)

Replace it with the repair kit you can purchase.

I glued and screwed mine to make sure it was really secure.
