Oil Addative

Though I am a great believer in frequent oil changes and sceptical of any addatives, just wondered if anyone has used CERATEC ? and any opinions of it? 2013 FL2 XS.

If it is based on Molybdenum Disulphide then it has great Friction Reducing properties.

I used it in the 70s & 80s on my cars, until I had company cars and dealer maintenance.

If I remember correctly it works so well that you MUST NOT let it near Clutches or Autoboxes.

I still have my tin of Molybdenum Disulphide Grease in my cupboard waiting for the Grease Gun to come back into fashion.

Description here

https://www.liqui-moly.com/fileadmin/user_...blunT2tzF6

Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is used as a solid lubricant and a high-pressure high-temperature (HPHT) anti-wear agent. It forms strong films on metallic surfaces and is a common additive to HPHT greases — in the event of a catastrophic grease failure, a thin layer of molybdenum prevents contact of the lubricated parts.

Think I will put some in on the next oil change, I use to use Slick 50 in the 70s and 80s added it to a Rover SD1 Vitesse v8 and the engine was as sweet as a nut when I sold it on but there were horror stories of it blocking oil filters but I never had any problems with it ? 2013 FL2 XS.
