United Kingdom 2008 Freelander 2 TD4 XS Manual Santorini Black

I like it the same as I like the XF , would look great with a different nose. I saw a top spec black XF in Wales and was admiring it with envy until I reached the front Confused

Oh and the XJ rear lights make it look like an fat American car At work

Norway 2007 Freelander 2 TD4 HSE Manual Stornoway Grey

Great car - like it a lot. However there are several things that spoil the overall appealing lines and design.
The shape of the grill is out of place and needs a serious redesign.
The rear lights look all wrong to me - reminds me of that biggish Citroën whatever it’s called (French crap?)
And lastly, although just a cosmetic gimmick - that soppy jumping cat on the boot. The word Jaguar or a small emblem would have been enough. However the old jumping cat on the bonnet which used to be so characteristic for Jaguar is unfortunately not allowed any more I guess?

The car is obviously designed with the American market in mind and unfortunately some of the classy English styling is lost for rather chinky clinky blingy American tastes

Overall though I like it much. However, although I used to dream about owning a Jaguar years ago I would never put this one on my wish list which is reserved for an alternative make and model that was released earlier this year.

PS - drove behind a red XK120 convertable the other day with reg. no. "O 150" - But alough the XK140 and XK150 were more refined it still looked as good today as when it was new, something this new beast wont in later years. 2007 Freelander 2 HSE TD4 Manual with Premium Pack & Moonroof.
Stornoway Grey with Ebony Black Pleather, Clear Indicators, Body Side Mouldings etc.

Where do you think they hope to sell the majority of their cars?

i recently read an article about the new Seat Exeo. apparently it is merely a rebadged old Audi A4 however to pass the new regulations they had to totally rework the nose, so I suspect the Jaguar's nose is more about regulation than design.

UK, China and Middle East. USA isn't as big a market for Jag as it used to be.
As for the nose-job, blame a pedestrian the next time you see one. It's their fault that car design has been ruined!
