New to me 2014 LR2 with “Reduced Performance”

I ordered a replacement turbo ‘elbow’, assuming from forums mine may be cracked. But while looking today I noticed this open fitting. What is it? Whats missing?

I don’t know what is missing but it doesn’t look as if it recently fell off. Give us some idea on where we are looking. Front or back, left side, right side of engine bay.

Its a 2.0 lt engine not many people are going to be familiar with it on here? 2013 FL2 XS.
Defender 90 300 TDi.

Yes, thankyou. Don’t see anything connected to the elbow and was wondering if something was supposed to be because it sure looks like it needs to be closed up…

I dont know what its for either but as its part of the induction system - I agree - needs blanking off or something attaching , unless its already blocked. Is the open port actually patent through to the main airway ?
