Had a look at the site selling the JLR-SDD…..I had already looked at the kit last year prior to buying the Autel so knew a bit about it. I sent for the kit….great service from SmartParts….received SDD Saturday.
Fairly easy to install on my HP Laptop…..took a long time but instructions were good. Tested yesterday
on FL2……didn’t work…..couldn’t understand why until I checked on the SDD….said my laptop was “Not Supported “. Apparently only Panasonic laptops will work with SDD……so the program says….!
Never come across this before. The advertising on line doesn’t mention this fact….
A bit disappointing……I have emailed supplier to see if I can return the kit……don’t want to buy laptop especially for SDD. FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

D1 300TDI Man MY 1996 56kmls….gone 1999…D2 much better
Wife’s FL1 1.8P MY 2001 32kmls …gone 2007…has Mini since.

SDD works on my old laptop and my new laptop both HP the SDD version is 131 somperhap newer versions have some sort of hardware check perhaps ?

The version I bought is v166….as you say some hardware check may have been added……..SDD definitely says
Panasonic Toughbook or Panasonic….HP not listed……… FL2 SD4 HSE Lux Auto MY 2012— current

Wasn’t there something about SDD not working on versions of windows newer than XP. People were running SDD on Windows XP in a virtual machine.

It was just a thought and I did check back through the forum and found relative posts. I’m currently setting up a new desktop PC and the number of old programs (and games) that won’t work, ‘computer says NO’, is huge.
