Just repaired the violet wire on my 2013 model with the info here (many thanks ). When I'd stripped the harness insulation back from the fan end corrosion was obvious on the wire's insulation. A gentle tug pulled it apart. It was at the bottom of the fans, where the harness turns towards the gear box.
