Yes, when changing the rubber brake hoses on my Freelander a Land Rover main dealer twisted one of the pipes.

Thank you. That is just what I wanted to hear. I shall talk to my local garage. Flaring steel pipes is tricky but good to know that it worked. Freelander 2 TD4 HSE 2010

I replaced the exact same pipe with a genuine one. It comes pre-bent, with the correct fittings and spongy bits for support. It wasnt difficult but there was a lot of stuff to remove to gain access to the space behind the secondary bulkhead (which I removed), so it took quite some time. Make sure you dont let air get back up into the ABS block, otherwise you may need a computer/software to open internal valves and bleed the ABS unit. I capped off the broken pipe with some rubber tubing until I had acquired the replacement pipe. Jules |

This is what I removed to replace the pipe running across the bulkhead

And I thought that I was the only one hamfisted enough to to damage that pipe. |
