Headlight fault 2011 FL2 HSE

Hi folks,
After a bit of assistance if possible,
I sold my 2011 HSE over the weekend, (2nd car still have our newer FL2)
The buyer has called this morning complaining that the Headlights have failed/are faulty, basically accusing me of knowingly selling in this condition (because apparently I haven’t been driving in the dark before)
That said, I do feel bad as the car was really well kept and I would never have sold it with a defect like this.
The fault appears to be -
Dipped beam went dark, selected main beam, worked at 1st, then cutting out and flickering, dipped beam also done the same. Head light selected to auto
Buyer has tried the headlights this morning and appear fine.
These are the projector types.
I’ve advised buying a set of bulbs, checking fuses (are these self resetting?) - are these powered through relays on a 2011? Also advised to try again for a journey with the selector in on rather than auto.
I wouldn’t mind but I priced it at bottom end and even after closing the ad I’ve been inundated with replies
Buyer has no technical knowledge whatsoever so is now “going to get it diagnosed” and is 80 miles away so is obviously angling for money back, which they aren’t going to get.

I am tempted to do just that, it’s just in the spirit of at least trying to help.
If I thought it had a serious issue with the lights, and I wanted to be sneaky about it,
I’d have sold the thing in July.

According to the above article you can't sell a car for cash?
I'd not be taking that as gospel.
Plenty of advice on the subject on Pistonheads:

That was one of the reasons I posted the link, not something I’d ever heard of. Cash is king, is an old saying!😄 (Now Sold). 2008 Freelander 2 (Nazca Sand) SE TD4 Auto. Statutory write off & on WOVR for hail damage but still road legal.

If the vehicle goes wrong in his ownership, then it's his issue.
Did you offer or imply a guarantee? If not then it's on him to sort it out.
The headlamps aren't supplied with power via relays, they are powered by the CJB using MOSFET transistors.
Does it have xenon headlamps, or ordinary bulb headlamps? Hyundai Ioniq 5 Ultimate. The family car.
