There are separate workshop manuals and wiring diagrams covering VIN 1A and 2A models. VIN 2A is my model which is a 2011 RHD Australian FL2 VIN SALFA2AB6BH264520.

Hi, most of the wiring diagrams available seem to be for the 010 t0 011 model years. I did a lot of ferreting around when swapping engines, so here goes:- Wires are main colour/trace colour. All engine looms change on 2009m/y with extra wires on gearbox, and indicator on dash consul for gear position. There are numbers impressed on fuse boxes. Medium speed CanBus are orange or white cables. The Crash Response module is under the centre consul near the handbrake. Most wiring loom problems are found along the left hand inner wing to Fan Module ares and behind the Left Glove Box Fuse box. Entertainment modules change with trim levels, radios have different connector blocks for trim levels. Bigger changes came in with the 2013 model year, and, as Jules points out no online data. So you have to buy time on Topix for later cars. I believe the data software coding changes for late cars in line with Evoque systems, but I do not have proof. A 2010m/y engine only needs a wiring loom change to be backwards compatible, and the sump level sensor swapped backwards. Landrover parts lists for sensors do not reflect years fitted, but update as suppliers change, so its a minefield. Most apparent problems are Battery related, as the ECU fails to self check when starting the car, and a worn Starter Motor can be a source of all other computer related error codes. Cheap code readers fail to give one the five digit codes needed to accurately diagnose a tricky problem. Now that you are all confused, I will let you get on. |
