I owned a 08 manual for 5 years and I'm looking for a late model to replace it.

These are the differences I know of:

Front bumper, headlights and taillights, dash, dials, centre console, seats.

I know the haldex is updated and doesn't give any problems like my old one did.

Is there anything else I'm missing and is there anything in particular I should look out for?

Later ones have Keyless entry as opposed to a fob that docks into the dash, also LED lights front and rear. 2013 FL2 XS.

MY13 onwards has keyless ignition but you still need to use the fob to unlock and lock the vehicle.

As things have turned out this is a move of genius by Land Rover as these cars cannot be hacked by these key cloning devices. Also the fob has easily replaceable batteries.

Hope the insurance companies appreciate this !

MY13 onwards is a whole different electrical system.

Over the years have read comments in threads that the latter models are quieter.

"Touch wood" my MY13 has basically been faultless. Bought it new.

So the TD4 and SD4 are the same engine and turbo but with a different map?

I'm not sure I understood the haldex bit, I thought that the MY13 had an updated haldex and rear diff that doesn't give problems?

I had lots of issues with the diff on my old FL. I imported the car from UK and specifically told the guy that was supposed to inspect it to look for a whining noise from the diff, yet as soon as the car arrived I could hear it. I took the diff out and sent it to bell engineering to rebuild it. I put it back in with the exact amount of oil and everything. Then I went to the local dealership to get the software updated as suggested in here but the idiots told me that no such software exists (the only dealership that exists here is terrible). Then after a while the noise came back and I ended up taking out everything, shaft, diff, half shafts and everything.

The TD4 and SD4 engines are essentially the same. The turbo is different, and so is the ECM mapping.
The SD4 has more torque as a result as a result of the changes, which equates to 37 more BHP a
available. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

2014 MY torque is the same for TD4 and SD4 engines at the same rpm. Both are 420Nm at 1,750 rpm.
Power is different, TD4 is 150 bhp, SD4 is 190 bhp
