Hi, I have done some research and I think it's the manifold to intercooler pipe, it is covered in oil (more so on the engine side of the pipe). It is secured by jubliee clips (2 at the top and 1 down the bottom).

Is this the source of the oil or could it be coming from elsewhere? I have read these pipes split is it something I can change myself if it needs changing.

I have some issues with my car, the revs kinda bounce when accelerating at 2k rpm they bounce up by about 500 before coming back down, also the cabin seems to rumble and vibrate at like 50mpg +, is this all connected?

I will try and add a picture of the pipe in question, just today I tightened the jubilee clips (top 2) but the pipe is kinda soft so I imagine I could really tighten them up and crush the pipe?

The hoses are more likely to split than come loose.
It's best to just replace any suspicious hoses, but at over 10 years old, they could all do with replacing.

Oh and hoses should have 1 clip on each end, not 2. So something isn't right there. 2009 Rimini Red SE TD4. Soon to be sold.

You'll be swearing a lot when you do it as access is tight, but yeah, definitely DIY-able.

Like Nodge said, just replace them, pretty sure you'll find a split.
